Class of 2011 Rules!

Fal + Jeannine

Jeannine and Fal are a totally cool couple that we had the honor of photographing this past fall… in fact they remind me of Steve and I!  Jeannine is outgoing and so much fun to be around and Fal is the nicest guy, with a quiet and sweet demeanor.  Their fabulous wedding started at 8am and continued through the wee hours of the night, including two ceremonies and receptions.  They started the day by honoring Fal’s family with a  Hindu event and wrap up the day with an American ceremony to represent Jeannine.  So essentially two weddings on one day!  Friends and family from across the globe gathered to celebrate the union of this special couple, and were nothing but smiles the whole day.
The weddings were fabulous and went off without a hitch thanks to the efforts of all her vendors, including the ever amazing Royal Park Hotel  and the creative folks at MPE Events & Paisley Quill.  A custom beaded mundup sparkeled at their Hindu ceremony and the beautiful colors and custom logo was recipricated throughout their reception that evening… including on their ice bar!
Check out this beautiful couple and their amazing event via the video below… plus they are now feature on our website!

Benny Boo :)

Ben, or Benny Boo as his mama calls him, is simply adorable.  He just turned one and came into the studio for his photo shoot in late January.  One year pics are such a great milestone portrait.  Most of the little ones are thrilled to be standing on their own and have the cutest grins with those little baby teeth peeking out.  Isn’t this little guy the sweetest ever… and look at him give his sock monkey a squeeze as they model together.

Valentine thoughts…

Happy Balentine’s Day!  Our first grader  Tyler has really gotten into V-day this year, enjoying his classroom party this past week and all the candy that comes with the day.  While talking about the day I asked Ty “do you have a valentine” thinking he’d name a girl in school, but instead he says “mom. what’s a balentine?”  It’s these moments that make my heart sink and I truely love being a mom.  I began to explain it’s someone you love and care for dearly, when he piped up and confirms “oh. well then it’d be dad of course.”  A smile was drawn on my face.  How cute it is to be six, have a dad as your biggest super hero and balentine.

Thoughts from Mexico…

Steve and I have been down in Mexico for the past week enjoying a nice vaca and also shooting Jessie & Chris’s wedding in San Jose Del Cabo.  Here are a few pics sneak peaks from our adventures…

Goals…

Have you ever felt in a rut?  Well after having two kids – two years in a row and working on business 60+ hrs/week I sure have!  So in December I finally decided that it was time for me to join a gym.  Logical right.  And although I have been going and working up a sweat a few times a week there has been something missing.  So last week I decided to stop my relationship with pop.  Yep, no more Pepsi’s to get me through the day or give me a boost of energy at night.  I’m sure going to miss my dear friend, but I have decided to finally take my Papa Joe’s advice and make pop a treat instead of a routine.  So as I past my third day sans Pepsi my head was throwing from caffeine withdrawals.  But today on day seven my body is much happier by being hydrated with water and unsweetened ice tea.  In my head I am contantly telling myself “you can do it!” “you don’t need it!”   And so we will see how I do and if any extra lbs come off during my trial run with a pop-less life… now if I could only get Steve to drop his love affair with Mt. Dew… hmmmm
If you have set goals remember to keep positive and focused because you can do it!
